Chronicles of Life: A Poetic Ode to Time

Time, oh time, you slip away so fast,

20 years gone, before we know at last,

40 years, a blink, and then they're past,

like a seed that grows, and quickly vast.

We start as small, with dreams so grand,

and as we grow, our roots take stand,

the years go by, like seasons turn,

and we become, what we yearn.

The moments pass, like grains of sand,

and before we know, a life so grand,

is built with time, with every hand,

and time, oh time, you understand.

The days go by, like leaves on trees,

and as we grow, our wings take ease,

the years fly by, like birds in flight,

and we soar high, with all our might.

The clock ticks on, with steady beat,

and time, oh time, you can't be beat,

for though you slip away so fast,

you give us life, and that's a fact.

So let's embrace, this time we have,

and cherish every moment, we crave,

for time, oh time, you're a thief in the night,

but with you, our lives take flight.
